WHAT HAPPENED?
Chelsea stormed into a two-goal lead at Manchester United on the final day of the WSL season but had to withdraw Macario 41 minutes in. THE BIGGER PICTURE
With the season coming to an end, Macario's injury is not the end of the world for Chelsea. However, the 24-year-old is likely to be called up by Emma Hayes when she takes over as USWNT boss in the summer, but may now miss out if her injury is serious.

WHAT NEXT FOR MACARIO?
Macario has enjoyed her first season in England with the reigning champions but has only made eight WSL appearances. Injuries have kept her sidelined for a large period of the season but she will be hoping to work on her fitness so she can make even more of an impact for the Blues in 2024-25.
