Jakarta (ANTARA) – Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI) menginginkan Persatuan Tinju Amatir (Pertina) dan Pengurus Besar Tinju Indonesia (Perbati) bersatu membina cabang olahraga tinju di tanah air.

"Terus terang bahwa dualisme ini sangat tidak diinginkan semua pihak. Harapan kami baik atlet, pelatih, dan pengurus bisa bersatu," kata Sekretaris Jenderal KONI Tubagus Ade Lukman Jayadi dalam keterangan tertulis di Jakarta, Kamis.

Pengelolaan tinju di Indonesia memang diwarnai dengan dualisme kepengurusan organisasi.

Dia menjelaskan, KONI mengakui Pertina sebagai anggotanya, sedangkan Perbati diakui sebagai anggota Komite Olimpiade Indonesia (KOI) dan federasi internasional World Boxing.

Ade mengatakan pihaknya menginginkan persoalan ini segera diakhiri sehingga hanya ada satu federasi yang menaungi cabang tinju di Indonesia.

"Harapkan bahwa nanti ini akan menjadi satu (kalau bisa) di bawah naungan Pertina," katanya.

Dia menjelaskan, saat ini organisasi yang diakui oleh Komite Olimpiade Internasional adalah Perbati. Namun pihaknya berharap keduanya bisa menyatu dan diakui secara internasional.

Ade mengatakan KONI telah berkomunikasi dengan pihak-pihak terkait lain, baik dengan KOI maupun Kementerian Pemuda dan Olahraga, sehingga persoalan tersebut bisa diatasi dengan jalan keluar terbaik.

Pertina, kata dia, bukan organisasi yang sudah lama berdiri. Sementara, Perbati belum memiliki atlet di tingkat provinsi sehingga atlet-atlet yang ada pasti dari Pertina.

"Jadi, kami harapkan nanti dengan komunikasi yang baik, dengan membawa (semangat membangun prestasi untuk) Merah Putih, kita harus mengesampingkan ego sektoral," kata Ade.
